What is Mesotherapy?

Mesotherapy is a treatment that involves injecting specifically formulated naturally occurring nourishing nutrients as a serum under the skin. The formulation of each serum is specific to the area being treated and the skin type. Essential for healthy skin and hair are vitamins, amino-acids and hyaluronic acid which is often referred to as "The Fountain of youth" which is naturally present in the body.

What is the process?

The administration of the serum is by way of extremely fine needles, which are programmed to deliver a precise dose of the serum at a predetermined depth under the skin each time, for optimal effectiveness and benefit.

Is the treatment suitable and appropriate for me?

If you feel that your skin appearance is dull and lacking in nourishment and vitality then mesotherapy could be for you.
We recommend that you book a consultation so that we can assess your requirements and help you to decide on your best option.

Will the treatment be painful?

No, we will treat the area with a local anaesthetic cream 15 - 20 minutes before the treatment takes place. We use extremely fine needles to administer the serum directly into the skin. You may feel pin pricks but generally our clients experience no appreciable pain.

Why can I not have the treatment?

If you have the following conditions then the treatment is not suitable for you at the present time:

Pregnant
Breast Feeding
Active facial skin condition or on other areas of the body to be treated
On blood thinning medication
Recently have had BOTOX or Dermal facial fillers

How long will the treatment take?

A course of 4 - 8 treatments spread over 2 weeks is recommended, followed by maintenance course 1 - 2 times a year.
The duration of each treatment is dependent on the area being treated.
On average a treatment takes around 30 - 45 minutes.

Is there any downtime?

No, there is virtually no downtime
You may have temporary redness and pin prick makes around the treatment area, which will settle in a number of hours.

Results - What to expect?

Mesotherapy results are evident after a number of treatments sessions.
Over a short time frame, treatment improves superficial wrinkles, dull, dry and lifeless skin.
Dependent on the treatment area, you will feel the difference in the elasticity and overall vitality, hydration and health of your skin.

How long will the results last?

Everyone is different and therefore there is no guaranteed time period.
Generally the results last from 9 - 12 months, after a course of treatments.
