Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive, fast and highly effective form of skin exfoliation. At Aesthetics Refined Clinics, we use a state-of-the art Diamond Microdermabrasion technology system. This system uses a wand tip that is embedded with ultrafine laser cut diamonds. The tip gently buffs and polishes the surface of the skin.

A light suction acts as a vacuum to lift away the dead cells and leaves you with smooth, rejuvenated skin. The treatment also increases the circulation, promotes new collagen production by stimulating the deeper layers of the skin, and is known to initiate lymphatic drainage, which aids to remove toxins and waste materials in the body.

Why can I not have the treatment?

If you have the following conditions then the treatment is not suitable for you at the present time:

Active facial skin condition or on other areas of the body to be treated
On blood thinning medication
Recently have had BOTOX or Dermal facial fillers

How long will the treatment take?

The duration of the treatment is dependent on the area being treated.
On average a treatment takes under 60 minutes.

Is there any downtime?

No, there is no downtime. You may have temporary redness of the face, which will settle few of hours after the treatment.

How long will the results last?

After one treatment, results can last up to 2 weeks, but this time period is different for each individual. Long-term results rely on frequent maintenance of the skin.
